GREETINGS FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH

We are part of the worldwide body of Yeshua

who are returning to our Scriptural roots

As an assembly of Jewish and Gentile believers in Yeshua we recognise that we are part of the Messianic Community which had its beginning in 1st Century. We also believe that the re-emergence of the 1st Century style of Messianic Community in the 21st Century, is a pre-emptive first fruits witness before Yeshua’s return as stated in Acts 3:21:-

“He has to remain in heaven until the time comes for restoring all things.”

We hope this web site will prove to be a useful tool for the encouragement of all who feel they have been called to be part of this end-time restoration.

Important Notices!

Throughout this webpage we use the Tetragrammaton in the form of YHVH, in accordance with the words of Sh’mot (Exodus) 6:3:15 - God said further to Moshe, “Say this to the people of Isra’el: ‘Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh, the God of your fathers, the God of Avraham, the God of Yitz’chak and the God of Ya‘akov, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever; this is how I am to be remembered generation after generation. In accordance with the mandate from that verse we have elected to remember the G-d of Isra’el in the manner that he himself prescribed. While we acknowledge the usage of YHVH may be offensive to some people, we request that you accept that our use of the name is done with utmost respect and is in no way intended to offend anyone. However, where quotations from the Complete Jewish Bible are included in an essay ADONAI appears rather YHVH in keeping with the publishers copyright requirements.

We have used many Hebrew words in place of their English equivalent as it is our desire to bring back the Hebraic character of the scriptural message. Hence the first use of any new Hebrew word in each essay has its English equivalent alongside in (brackets).

Scriptural Citation - Talmidei Yeshua Messianic Ministry of New Zealand has always used the Complete Jewish Bible. Therefore, all Scriptural references on this Website, unless specifically stated, have been taken from the Complete Jewish Bible by David H Stern. Copyright © 1998. All rights reserved. Any or all the expository essays on this site may be printed and shared providing the citation at the foot of each essay is included in full.

TWELVE STEPS TOWARD KNOWING YESHUA

The following twelve panels provide steps toward a deeper appreciation of what it means to be Talmidim of Yeshua. The panels are arranged in three rows of four.

The first row expresses our relationship with YHVH and Yeshua through the observance of the appointed times of Scripture and our acknowledgement of the Aviv Calendar, as set forth in Torah.

The second row gives a glimpse of life and times of Yeshua HaMashiach, the Scriptural details surrounding his death, resurrection, and ascension, followed by the development of the 1st century Messianic Community.

The third row is a snapshot of Scriptural history that led to the development of post-Temple Rabbinic Judaism and Christianity. The second panel in this row take a brief look at the cultural clash between eastern and western empires and how they impacted upon Eretz-Yisra’el between 333 BCE and 67 CE. The third panel looks at the re-emergence the modern Messianic Movement in the late 20th century following 1900-years in obscurity. The fourth panel defines what it means to be Talmidim of Yeshua in the 21st century and what we can look forward to in the Olam Haba (the Age to Come).

Behind each panel is a short essay on the particular subject, with each panel building up a continuous narrative that reflects the progressive revelation of the Scriptures. The best way to gain a deeper appreciation of the Scriptural narrative, is to read the essay behind each panel in sequential order.

Following the twelve panels is a Topical Index and a Chronological Summary for future quick reference to subjects covered in each of the panels.
